3,  Method Of Use

3.1      Routine Testing

1. Push switch to TEST position;
2. When the switch is driven “TEST” state and release after the last 1 s. Equipment be into the test mode, the LED lights flashing, completion the test equipment will power off automatically.

Note: Please test AIS-SART in outdoor where can receive the GPS signal. After AIS-SART receive the GPS signal and positioning, the green light continuous flicker 8 times and make a beef, the red and green LED light long brightness together , flicker twice, then shut off automatically, the test successful, check AIS found the Test message with position, AIS-SART is good. The AIS-SART is not success receive the GPS position if you wait longer time, AIS-SART flicker 8times, red and green LED light only long brightness one times, no flicker, check AIS, found the Test message without of position.

3.2      Emergency Use

For emergency only!!!

1. Pull out the red TAB, make sure the switch to the ON position;
2. Indicator light will now flash slowly;
3. AIS-SART must be at least 1m above water in open area, can hang or with the rod, etc.

Note: 1) AIS-SART transmit a set of messages every one minute when turn on, green light continuous flicker 8 times, indicate AIS-SART transmit 8 messages; 2) The red LED light always flicker if AIS-SART have not received the GPS signal in 2 minutes when turn on, the red LED light will stop to flicker till receive the GPS signal in 2 minutes; the red LED light will stop flicker after 2 minutes, Whether received GPS signal or not; 3) The red and green LED light rapid flicker when battery power is low.

 4, The Lithium Battery

The lithium battery replacement cycles within the search and rescue radar transponder for 4 years, details please refer to

the label effectively; To ensure reliable equipment using,                                                Battery Expiry

please replace the lithium battery in time, please contact the manufacturer or authorized suppliers.

NOTE: The lithium battery as disposable lithium battery, its storage valid for 1 year, use valid for 4 years, please mark the correct expiry date in time, to ensure that the equipment is effective.
